DOG PARKS & LOCATIONS:
Richmond area:
BARKER FIELD located at Dogwood Dell - Byrd Park open
daylight hrs, fenced, poopbags, trees, parking and water. Features separate
areas for puppies or aggressive dogs. Water pump nearby that is operational
in the summer months.
PHIDEAUX FIELD Located at forest Hill Presbyterian Church,
4401 Forest Hill Ave. Features low fence, but balls and toys are available.
Owners should bring their own water. Open 7am to sunset Mon. - Sat.
Chesterfield area:
POCOHONTAS STATE PARK features campground that allows
dogs overnight, dog walk area within the campground.
RUFF HOUSE located in Rockwood Park, near the corner
of Hull and Courthouse. One acre leash park features a six foot fence,
separate exercise areas for small and large dogs, benches, all necessary
clean up materials and water.
